With over 20 acres of shade trees, meadows, playgrounds and spring-fed streams, Morgan's Grove Park serves as an idyllic site for community gatherings, such as the annual Labor Day Community Picnic. Complete facilities include amenities for

  • Picnics: a 1,500 square foot covered pavilion, full kitchen, grills, picnic tables, and restrooms
  • Play: playground equipment, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, volleyball areas, horseshoe pits, and a walking trail.

Morgan's Grove Park, formerly known as Morgan's Grove Fair was once the site of fairs, horse races, camp meetings, patriotic celebrations and other community events. In 1999, it was entered in the National Register of Historic Places. Morgan's Grove Park is available for rental. The Easter Bunny will hit German Street on Saturday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. and a self-guided story walk will be held at the Little House on both Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April .18th.  The Easter Egg Hunt will take place immediately after the parads on Saturday on the grounds of White Hall.  The Little House will NOT be open on Easter Sunday.

The second annual GardenFest arrives on May 17 & 18, featuring the Back Alley Garden Tour & Tea which will include a self-guided walking tour of more than a dozen private gardens rarely open to the public and an elegant afternoon tea.

Both days will also be full of many other garden-related activities, including demonstrations and exhibits about horticulture, landscaping, composting, beekeeping, raising chickens, indoor gardening, flower arranging, and more. Please see our website for more information.
